too much democracy???

at times i come across lot of people who end up discussing and debating over lots of issues ....i am talking about shows like big debate etc..on various channels....sometimes i really do feel is it worth debating over so many topics in the name of democracy??...

democracy allows us to share views openly,(right to speak),thats undoubtedly a beautiful gift for any citizen.but then does it yield any ouput??any outcome ?do the poiticians really pay attention to these debates?..results dont quiet reflect that..as in case of ruchika,26/11 ,etc...

well yes democracy in all the from is a gift but are we really nurturing it??when we look at countries from middle east which are under kingship they still have lowest crime rates in the world...!!!

so i feel that some where a line should be drawn as too decide to how much extent is democracy good for development and prosperity purpose and not as something which end up becoming like a political circus....

hope-haiti.....

i was shocked.....2 lakh ppl feared dead in haiti....to be honest i had never even heard of this place before....scenes and fears of bhuj(Gujarat) -2001 earthquake-started flashing on everyone's mind.

it was astonishing when the president of that country was himself interviewed as saying that even he did not know where to sleep that night when the catastrophe occurred.such was the level of insecurity among the people.

after hearing and reading about such a catastrophe i do wonder at times weather its a good thing to make movies out of them?....i mean if they are meant for promoting funds then its absolutely understood.but films and ads made to gain good trp ratings(in case of small screen) ,by 'playing' with the emotions definately does not help the cause..

i completely support those firms or n.g.o's which have the sole purpose of reaching out to the victims ...in such case advertising for help is truely understood..but using this catastrophe to score points over other firm...is extremely inhuman.....

i HOPE tat HAITI case would be different with this respect ...i HOPE that developed nations and u.n. would do their best to reach out to the haiti victims....literally......
